Daily Star newspaper think so.
In a “world exclusive” the British newspaper Daily Star are reporting that Cristiano Ronaldo may be returning back to Old Trafford this summer in a deal worth £80 million.
The report claims that new Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward and new manager David Moyes have been secretly in negotiations with the Spanish giants for the last 12 days and are confident they can bring the star back to Manchester.
It is claimed that new club sponsors General Motors will be funding part of Ronaldo’s wages in a deal that will see the player being the global ambassador for their Chevrolet brand of cars.
Speculation on Ronaldo’s future began when he wouldn’t sign a contract extension that currently only has two years remaining, and has been fuelled further by Real Madrid‘s €100 million pursuit of Welsh winger Gareth Bale.
