Luis Suarez may miss the World Cup

Luis Suarez nightmare month has just got worse. The Liverpool striker may have been the Premier League’s top scorer and the PFA Player of the Year but the striker ended up in tears after his the championship slipped away from him and his team-mates.

Now comes more news to dampen the Uruguayan’s summer. Various media outlets are reporting that the striker faces a race to for fit for the World Cup in Brazil after twisting his knee his knee in training. An MRI test revealed meniscus damage that requires surgery.

The Uruguay camp believe that he should be ready in time, but the usual recovery time is 4-6 weeks, casting serious doubt over the claims. The Daily Mail went further in their claims, stating that the striker will miss the World Cup.

The news will be welcomed by England fans, who were dealt a nightmare group alongside Uruguay, Italy and Costa Rica.
