Banksy pieces recreated in LEGO

Canadian photographer has put together recreations of some of the graffiti artist’s famous work.

Canadian photographer, Jeff Friesen, has used LEGO to recreate some of the iconic works by graffiti artist Banksy.

To make the recreations, dubbed “Bricksy”, he enlisted help from his daughter, June who he previously worked with to make LEGO dioramas of Canada’s ten provinces.

Some of the works include Pulp Fiction (above), the Bristol hanging man and the kissing coppers.

Mr Friesen’s decision came about when he decided to make a LEGO version of London, as he explains. “I wanted to do a Banksy scene and ended up doing the Pulp Fiction scene and thought this was fun, making urban street scenes, and then decided to do a whole Banksy series.

The project was a “fun way of spending time with my daughter” but he did get “super serious” about his works.
