The boys are back, but this time they are going Down Under as The Inbetweeners head to Australia for the sequel to their hit movie. Will, Simon, Jay and Neil are set to scour the land of Oz in Jay’s new ride, the Mobile Virgin Conversion Unit.
The trailer is classic Inbetweeners style, with humour that will make some laugh and others cringe, and will no doubt be a welcome arrival to fans. A few plot points are revealed in the trailer – including Simon’s girlfriend being a psycho, Jay is already in Australia on his gap year when he invites the gang, and, of course, the return of Will’s mum.
Show co-creators, Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, commented on the trailer. “We’re especially happy with the trailer as we think it’s funny and – we promise – none of the best jokes are in it. None. We did that so that hopefully you’ll still get surprised in the cinema, and enjoy the film even more.”
James Buckley, Joe Thomas, Blake Harrison and Simon Bird are joined for their big-screen return by Celeste Cotton, David Schaal, Larissa Jones, Susan Wokoma and Daisy Ridley – whose role in Star Wars: Episode VII was recently speculated to be Jaina Solo.
The Inbetweeners 2 is being unleashed on August 6.
